Let the Kid get any game he wants. Just check in on him 1/2 hour past bedtime and make sure he isn't still up playing... and he'll be fine. Set limits up front on how much he can play. A good side benefit to playing PC games is learning how to performance tune a PC...Trust me, he'll get good at that too. I allow my kids to play a select few PC games because along the way it helps build computing skills, Unlike Consoles such as X-BOX, Playstation etc.. They are a waste of time IMO.

Seriously in the short time I played War Crack, I was asked several time If I wanted to "hook up" by other players. It's the "Blue Oyster Bar" of online MMORGs. If you want your kid chatting with 50 year old men pretending to be 13 year old girls, go right ahead.

I'm thinking I'll discourage my son from getting inolved with W.O.W., the commitment aspect of it doesn't sit well with me...
Thanks for all the opinions and advice.
Someone suggested Call of Duty or something like that, is this also an ongoing thing, or is there and "end" ?

You might let him "try" meth as well - they seem to be equally addictive and have similar results. It looks like you are doing the right thing with him so far - the real world is way more challenging than fantasy. Lots of dorks hunt and fish, too. Thanks Dan, you really know how to hurt a guy.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I tried weed.............against the advice from my parents. I did it because they wouldn't get me the video game I asked for.

That game is a time sucking freak fest. I have seen that game turn good people, that I at one time enjoyed being in the presence of, turn into worthless piles of sh!t. Just ask Ben Stein. i know some what used to be pretty cool dudes that got overtaken by the game. there is a funny southpark youtube video on the game someone here at work was watching the other day google it. its funny
